The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), U.S. Forest Service (USFS) are working with academic institutions such as New Mexico State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to accomplish mutual goals of education and scientific excellence. The ultimate goal of this collaborative activity is to ensure that we are employing emerging technologies such as robotics and UAS to support research and informed decision making. NOAA, USGS, NASA, USFS, NMSU and ERAU shared a booth for STEM activities at the December 2011 UAS Technical Analysis and Applications Center (TAAC) Conference in New Mexico.
