Protection. Security. (USDPS) Conference at the Gaylord National Convention Center on Feb 8th.

Title of his presentation: NOAA Unmanned Systems: Harnessing A 21st Century Technology Revolution from Sea to Sky

Abstract: Today’s exponential advancement of autonomous technology is nothing short of a revolution affecting every sector of the government, industry, academia, and society.  NOAA is tapping into this revolution to improve forecasts; save lives, protect property and natural resources, and promote national security and economic growth. This presentation will describe how NOAA’s unmanned systems capabilities advance NOAA’s mission, along with the key opportunities and challenges in integrating these technologies into NOAA’s observing systems and information. 

The AUVSI Unmanned Systems – Defense. Protection. Security. (USDPS) event was take place February 6-8 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. 

This event because it provides government, defense and public safety pros with an opportunity to move beyond hype and really discuss the challenges of implementing unmanned systems into our operational plans. The educational sessions focus on three key areas:

  • Innovation – How are the DOD and other agencies preparing for tomorrow’s threats?
  • Investment: How and where are other organizations spending on unmanned systems?
  • Sustainment: What are the emerging opportunities in training, logistics, resupply and maintenance?
